About
Hi, my name is Mark Walztoni and I’m passionate about assisting leaders, their teams, and their organizations survive and thrive during the first 90 days after a new leader is hired, assigned, or promoted into a new role. The art and science of on-boarding new leaders and the new leader journeys described on this blog include leaders joining a new organization or accepting a new role.
One of the most significant new roles is leading during a merger or acquisition. My services also include human capital due diligence, merger and acquisition integration, executive coaching, and leadership team staffing, development, and retention.
Why does the first 90 days in a new role matter; because an overwhelming amount of research and my personal experience of over 25 years in leading organizations suggests that careers, customers, and families all are impacted by the new leader’s success or failure.
Most studies indicate that someone entering the workforce will change jobs over 8 times during their career, and leaders will increase their responsibilities numerous times. Therefore learning how to survive and thrive with grace should be part of every leader’s repertoire.
My goal is to create and sustain a learning community of new leaders and virtual “mentors” who are also passionate about this subject, as well as accelerate the success of leaders in new roles and organizations driving critical change.
Full disclosure – I also coach, consult, and speak professionally on this subject, however this blog isn’t a sales pitch, you can click on my web site, http://www.markwalztoni.com, for more information and resources.
I encourage you to bookmark this blog, join the discussion to share your experiences and “lessons learned” when you’ve entered a new role, and actively coach other leaders who are entering the “90-Day Zone.”
Thank you.
